I have struggled to write this section of my site - putting it off until the last minute. I am not one to step into the spotlight and talk about myself. This, however, presents a great opportunity to do just that, talk about me - who I am, what I love - so why is this so hard?

What makes me, Danielle?

I guess I will start with the basics. I hold a bachelor of fine arts in Visual Communications and work full time as a graphic designer (loving what I do). On the side, I do this and love it even more!
I would consider myself a perfectionist and very attentive to detail. I see such gratification in the process of my work and love the feeling of seeing my work completed, knowing the steps it took to get there. I will always take the extra time to make the final piece perfect.

I am a "worker bee." After all, who wouldn't be a "worker bee" if they had so much passion for the work they do?
I am creative and always trying to be even more creative. I take in all that is around me, from magazines to places I travel to the people I encounter. I know that the things around us influence us.
I believe I can do anything. Seriously, sometimes it's just crazy. Of course, I can't do everything, but I do at least try. When I can do them, I am happy to do them for other people and share my insight.

I have a love affair with paper. I just love it, the textures, the patterns, the quality - what isn't there to love? Obviously, my excitement for paper just adds to the passion I have for my work.

One of the best feelings is seeing the smiles on the faces of the kids who have just seen, for the first time, their newly painted room. Painting murals is fun its a large canvas and, as many of my projects, always a challenge a challenge that I crave.

The glass is half full, and I believe that we are all good people.

It's the little things in life. A hug from someone you love.
With all of this, I know that I am always learning and growing, taking what I can from everyone I meet and every relationship I have.

I take great pride in my work and see it as so much more than just an invitation or a painting. I feel like my work speaks to people, it gets a point across. An invitation states the importance of an event and shows the character of the person it came from. While my murals are just paint on a wall, they add so much fun and share creativity with all who see it.

So is this what makes Danielle? Yes, but I am also who I am because of the people in my life and the people I surround myself with. I would not be who I am today without those who continue to support me in all I do, my family and friends.

In a nutshell, that's me, Danielle. |
